Events, speakers, photowalks. Christmas parties. Camps.

Speakers. Lots of speakers. Really good ones.

Mostly though, just a kickass community of wedding photographers hanging out and learning from each other.

By wedding photographers. For wedding photographers. And it’s kinda f**king awesome.

Tuesday July 18 at 5pm we're back at the Oxford Hotel where we're chatting all things albums & prints. Jimmy Teo (of Izo Photography fame) will be talking about why selling albums to your couples is always a good thing (for both you and your clients), and how he makes it a profitable and fulfilling part of his business; & Aimee Jones (owner of awesome print shop Fred Snow) will be dropping some knowledge & tips on understanding colour space, colour management and export settings to get freaking amazing prints (and why prints are so damn important!) June event – Portraits
Monday June 19 at 11am we're heading to Friday Studios in West Perth where Tanya Volt will be doing a live shoot with a model and talking through her process of how she rocks the shit out of her portrait photography (our words not hers). So if you want to see how one of Perth's best (soon to be one of Melbourne's best) portrait / fashion / model photographers goes about her thing, come watch. Even if you're not into model photography, it's going to be pretty invaluable for how to smash amazing bridal portraits that aren't just telling the bride to look to the left... Tickets are $30 and as always - you don't have to have been to a Common F ...
May Event – Editing
Tuesday May 02 we're back at the Oxford Hotel at 5pm for the next Common Folk Event - this time Natasja Kremers will do some live edits and go through her LR workflow and what she does to get the most out of it (and there's few people whose edits rock as hard as Tasj's do). We'll also look at a bunch of the presets currently out there (yes there's more than just VSCO) and we'll also touch on what it's like to outsource to a setup like Raw Digital Lab. Tickets are $30 and as always - you don't have to have been to a Common Folk event before, or even know anyone, to attend. Just grab a ticket, rock up, and meet a bunch of like-minded people ...
