JUICE: A PERSONAL PROJECT SERIES

Time to get your creative juices flowin'. To commit to, and prioritise, personal work. To make time and space for art. Your art. Or maybe just to pick up a camera outside of the usual 9-5 hustle. World... oyster... etc.

Juice is a hub of inspiration, encouraging artists to make time for creativity, to share in the process, challenge one's self and get their work on the wall.

To get feedback. To reflect. To learn. To grow. (Woah.)

Participants will shoot to the brief in the given timeframe and submit one image per round to be printed (included in the entry fee) in a group exhibition.

Open to photographers of all skill levels and mediums.

JUICE ENTRY FEE: $45 PER ROUND

Once ticket is purchased, you will officially be a member of the Round One Juice project including access to a members only FB group and our IRL Q+A event with our guest mentor.

Round One Q+A event will be held on Wednesday October 26 at 6pm, 45 Cliff Street, Fremantle.

If you can’t make the event you will receive an email with the project brief for Round One first thing on October 27.

We highly encourage everyone to get involved whether local, remote or elsewhere in Australia (the world, woah). Juice is about challenging yourself, getting out of your comfort zone working on that creative practise. Creating images for fun, developing your voice as an artist, exploring different mediums, etc.

You’ll have four weeks to complete the brief, and you’ll receive email prompts along the way as well as deadlines for submission.

ROUND 1 GUEST MENTOR: DUNCAN WRIGHT

Duncan Wright  is an in demand photographer and director who's work has seen him travel on assignment for publications such as The Australian & The Guardian and work with high profile musicians such as Ta-ku, POND, Stella Donnelly, Methyl Ethel & San Cisco. Duncan prides himself on creating imagery which is authentic and crosses the bridge between a commercial and documentary way of seeing, this has led to him being exhibited in various group exhibitions. He also manages WEW, a place for digital creatives.
